Lake Jocassee fishing Report: Water temp 75-77 in the morning warming up to low 80's in the afternoon. I spent a good part of last week on Lake Jocassee. Over all I found some good fishing to be had. I focus on the trout in the lake. Right now I'm fishing in the range of 60-100 feet with most of my success in the 80 foot range. I... usually mix up between live bait and spoons/apex this time of year. Over all the last two days I caught all my fish on Live Shiners,or what I say Organic Jumping Pond Minnows. Little story with that is that I was feeding the catfish in the pond this Spring out of my Girl friends fathers Pond when I noticed that there were minnows that came up to feed on the catfish pellets. I went and got a Minnow seine and netted a few. They range in size from a 6 inches to 1 inch crappie minnows. No more buying the Large shiners for me at $6.50 a dozen. A find like that is like Gold! Little tip: troll slow with the live bait!
