Over all the fishing as been very good. The last couple days seem to be a little off last weeks catches due to a little cooler water temps but not by much... that wont last long. It is time to put some good numbers of fish in the boat. Last weeks water temps were in the 70's, the last couple days it has been 65-67. Striper/Hybrid have been shallow early. Matter of fact I've been able to put a quick 10-20 fish in the boat before daylight... Captains suggestion is to start early... 5 a.m. or earlier. I like to meet 4-4:30 if I can get my groups there. Its been making some great days even though we are all are missing out on some sleep... Trust me its worth it! But even after day light were catching some good fish. Crappie backed off the banks, but are not far. Try 10 foot near timber and in the backs of creeks. Minnows on a jig seems to be the ticket. I'm open for this Sunday if anyone's thinking about fishing!
